OKLAHOMA CITY – What started as a birthday gift from her boyfriend turned into a $1 million surprise for Christina of Broken Arrow. On Sept. 8 she claimed her winning Powerball ticket at the Oklahoma Lottery Winner Center.
Christina’s ticket, purchased at the QuikTrip located at 7950 E. 41st St. S in Tulsa, matched five white balls in the August 20 Powerball drawing, which featured a $650 million jackpot.
“I scanned the ticket a couple of days after the drawing using the Oklahoma Lottery app,” Christina said. “I had to count all the zeroes to make sure I was reading it correctly!”
With her win, Christina becomes the Oklahoma Lottery’s 91st millionaire.
