When the Oklahoma State Department of Health released its Covid-19 numbers May 15, some things just did not add up. The website showed 5086 cases in Oklahoma, with 285 deaths thus far, up one from May 14 numbers.

The website still showed Blaine County as having only two cases, one in Watonga and the other in Okeene. It shows no cases in Greenfield, whereas last week there was a positive case from that zipcode.

Meanwhile, Lucky Star Casinos sent employees home from its Watonga and Canton operations, and an Oklahoma City television news report showed that one employee had tested positive and all contacts had been traced and quarantined. Yet there was no increase in the Blaine County numbers from the day before, and there were no additional cases noted in either Canton or Watonga.

Whether the website is lagging in its numbers posting or the case is a presumptive positive remains to be seen.
