Caddo County had its first positive test for the Covid-19 virus March 27, a woman in her 40s. Under laws regarding health care privacy (HIPPA regulations) no further information is available about the individual who has tested positive.
The health department in Anadarko has enacted several regulations in order to maintain service levels while protecting its staff and all clients.
Those rules include the cancellation of all group classes. Women, infant and children (WIC) services are being provided by telephone. That office can be reached by calling (405) 247-2507. Further measures to ensure public safety include screening staff and clients on entrance to the building by taking a forehead temperature reading, asking whether that individual has a cough or fever, and whether they have been short of breath.
Health departments do not test for the virus but may assist in issuing information about public health and safety, including recommendations and best practices.
