The Caddo County Retired Educators held its monthly meeting on Thursday, November 9. The group met in Carnegie and then traveled to Medicine Park. Even though it was a cold, windy day, there were still 21 in attendance. They enjoyed visiting the Medicine Park Aquarium and then feasting at the nearby Old Plantation Restaurant. Following the meal, they traveled on to Holy City Chapel where Harvey Mead gave the devotion. While exploring the wildlife refuge, many longhorn cattle and buffalo were spotted. The group enjoyed stops at the Wildlife Refuge Visitor Center and the last stop being Meers for delicious ice cream and cobbler.
The Caddo County Educators meet at 10:30 a.m. on the second Monday of each month at Caddo Kiowa Career Tech Center. The program for December 11 will be presented by the Carnegie Elementary music program. Retired educators in the area are encouraged to be a part of this active group.
