Cake Auction Hijinks

The annual Lions Club feed was put on Thursday evening at the Blaine County Fairgrounds. A barbecue and smoked meat meal with the traditional trimmings – cole slaw, baked beans, drink and dessert – was available for a donation to the Lions to support the scholarship fund.

The meal was followed by the cake auction and the two events together raised some $8,396 to further the education of area students after high school. The highest selling confection was courtesy of Lisa Seitter, and sold to First State Bank of Watonga.
