Statewide election activity officially begins at 8 a.m. Wednesday, April 1, when the candidate filing period opens.
Candidates for county offices file with the secretary of their county election board.
Candidates for state offices file with the Secretary of the State Election Board. A list of all state and federal offices that will be up for election can be found at the state election board website oklahoma.gov/elections.
In county elections, the assessor, treasurer and commissioners for District #1 and #3 will be filled this year.
Filing forms and information for county offices may be obtained by contacting the appropriate county election board or its website at elections.ok.gov.
Filing packets for all offices are also available for download on the State Election Board’s website at oklahoma. gov/ elections.
The filing period closes at 5 p.m. Friday, April 3.
