Candidates interested in filing for municipal office in Ward 4, City of Geary municipality will file Declarations of Candidacy beginning 8 a.m. Monday, February 7, 2022.
Brenda Rice, Secretary of the Blaine County Election Board, said Declaration of Candidacy forms must be completed and submitted to the County Election Board no later than 5 p.m. Wednesday, February, 9, 2022 when the filing period ends. Rice reminds voters that Contests of Candidacy must be filed no later than Friday, February 11, 2022, and may only be filed by another candidate for that office, unless a candidate files unopposed.
Declarations of Candidacy will be accepted for the following offices:
Geary Municipality, Ward 4
Declaration of Candidacy forms can be downloaded from the State Election Board website at oklahoma.gov/elections or by contacting your County Election Board office at 580-623-5518 or BlaineCounty@elections.ok.gov
The Blaine County Election Board is located at 212 N. Weigle, Watonga OK. and is open from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m., Monday through Friday.
