The Blaine County Association of Oklahoma Home & Community Education will be holding its annual holiday bazaar and Santa’s Village from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Saturday, December 2 at the Blaine County Fairgrounds in Watonga. Admission is free and open to the public. This will mark the 46th year that this event has been held.
The Santa’s Village portion of this event will follow this format this year with the following schedule: 12:30 p.m.- Christmas Story Time for Kids 1 p.m.- Christmas Craft Workshop (repeated at 1:30 p.m.)
2 p.m.- Christmas Craft Workshop (repeated at 2:30 p.m.)
1- 3 p.m.- Pictures and Visit with Santa and Mrs. Claus (bring your own camera) Come shop the vendor booths that will be filled with Christmas crafts, holiday decorations and delicious homemade foods. Door prizes provided by vendors will be given out every 30 minutes.
A concession stand will be available on site provided by Blaine County 4-H Teen Leaders where a variety of items will be served. This concession stand is the main fundraiser for these 4-H members and proceeds are used for leadership and citizenship activities, hands-on learning workshops and more.
The holiday bazaar and Santa’s Village serve as a community outreach for Blaine County OHCE members and any proceeds help support community service projects such as Relay for Life, awards for 4-H members, the Watonga Cat Foundation, the Ferguson Home and much more.
In addition to shopping and concessions, there is the opportunity to learn about the various organizations that take part as well as the important work of the OHCE in the community.
