Christmas Cheer

The Watonga community kicked off the holiday season in style Friday with the annual Sparkle Spree celebration! Locals enjoyed a parade, Christmas shopping and great food downtown in the mild weather. Right before the parade, a wreck on Leach and A Street forced the emergency vehicles that would have led the parade to speed away in support; fortunately, no major injuries were reported and the parade went on undeterred. The Sparkle Spree kicked off a festive weekend in Watonga, with a holiday bazaar and Christmas play following it.
