CTTC Announces CDL Classes

The next CDL Class A course at Chisolm Trail Career Tech starts May 18 and the last class of the calendar year starts August 31.

Some important information about the course:

•The Class A course is 220 hours and consists of both the federally required theory curriculum and hands-on training

•The course is 28 days, Monday through Friday, 7 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.

•The course will be held just north of Watonga at the CTTC CDL facility and pad

•Central Tech provides trucks and instructors

•Tuition is $4,300, paid to Central Technology Center, and due the first day of class. It includes: 1.Books – Provided by Central Tech 2.Supplies – Provided by Central Tech 3.Drug Test* 4.DOT Physical – Set up by Central Tech 5.Permit Test – Set up by Central Tech 6.CDL Testing – Taken on the Central Tech campus in Drumright the last week of class

•Upon passing the permit test you must provide DPS with the following information to obtain their permit: 1.Valid Oklahoma driver’s license 2.Original or certified copy of state-issued birth certificate or passport 3.Proof of residency *Central Tech will conduct a pre-employment drug screening the first day of the class. All students are also subject to random and suspicious drug testing throughout the duration of the program. A positive test or a refusal will result in immediate termination from the program. Per federal regulations medical marijuana is categorized as a controlled substance and is classified as a Schedule I drug.
