When you miss an appointment without canceling, your slot is often left unfilled. That can delay care for fellow Veterans and may mean starting your referral or consult process over.
What is a no-show? A no-show happens when a Veteran misses a scheduled appointment without letting VA know in advance. This can stop a referral, delay follow-up care and prevent another Veteran from using that appointment time.
How to cancel or reschedule If you can’t make your appointment, please cancel as soon as you can.
Reply “C” to your VEText reminder. Most appointments can be canceled by responding to your reminder text. Not getting VEText reminders? If we have your mobile number on file, you’re automatically enrolled. If you ever opted out, text START to 53079 to opt in. Manage appointments online. Sign in to My HealtheVet or the VA: Health and Benefits App to view, cancel or reschedule appointments.
Call us. 405-456-1000 or your local VA Clinic directly and choose option 2 to speak to scheduling.
