When requested by the Watonga Republican, the City of Geary did release the minutes of its Feb. 16 emergency meeting as required by law.
During that meeting the council determined to place chief of police Cecil Harrall on paid executive leave for 30 days. That decision was to be revisited at the end of the 30 days or at the conclusion of the Blaine County Sheriff’s Office investigation.
The 30-day period ended Friday, March 17. Harrall, according to Blaine County Sheriff’s Office sources, returned to duty om Monday, March 20.
The city has scheduled a special meeting for Friday, March 24 at City Hall. It is unclear what the focus of the meeting is.
