The Geary Summer Reading Program kicked off on Tuesday, June 7, with “Extreme Animals.” Dozens of kiddos got to see, learn about, and even touch various animals like a python, a baby kangaroo and a kinkajou, or honey bear. The reading program will continue on June 14 with a presentation from magician Doug Anderson. On June 21, participants will meet in the Geary city park for “jump and slide fun” from 2 to 4 p.m., and the June 28 program will feature the musical stylings of TV personality Lucas Ross. The June 14 and June 28 programs take place in the Geary Agriplex; they start at 2 p.m., but attendees are encouraged to arrive and be seated by 1:45 p.m.
