Language Convention Heads to SWOSU

Registration is available for the 38th National Convention of Alpha Mu Gamma, the National Collegiate Languages Honor Society, with the event scheduled for March 5–7 at Southwestern Oklahoma State University . The convention will be held in the Memorial Student Center in Weatherford and will bring together students, faculty, and language scholars from across the United States and abroad to share research and ideas.

The 2026 convention focuses on the connections between language, literature, music, the visual arts, and history. The program will include paper presentations, panel sessions, and poster sessions covering a wide range of topics, including research on language in the humanities, interdisciplinary teaching and learning, storytelling traditions, relationships between language and music, performance and cultural identity, visual narratives in media and art, and efforts to preserve endangered languages.
