Major County Crash Injures 3 Watonga Residents

According to a report from the Oklahoma Highway Patrol, three Watonga residents were injured in a Major County accident Monday evening about 6.

The report shows that Lewis Green, 89, was northbound in his Chevy Equinox on Oklahoma 51-A, abut six miles south of Fairview, when he failed to negotiate a curve near the road’s intersection with Oklahoma 58.

The Chevy struck a sign and a 2010 Ford Edge driven by Raul Flores, 52, also of Watonga. Flores was southbound on Highway 58.

Green was transported to Fairview Regional Medical Center, then taken by ambulance to OU Medical Center in Oklahoma City. He was admitted in stable condition.

His passenger, a 17year-old whose name was not released because of her age, was treated and released from the Fairview hospital.

Flores was also taken to Fairview Regional, treated and released. Everyone in the accident was wearing a seatbelt when the collision occurred, according to the report.
