The City of Watonga
A WARN notice is required under the Worker Adjustment and Retraining Notification (WARN) Act, a U.S. federal law designed to protect workers, their families, andcommunities by providing advance notice of significant employment changes.
Employers with 100 or more employees must give at least 60 calendar days’ written notice before a plant closing or mass layoff affecting 50 or more employees at a single site of employment.
In lieu of doubling up to create another “Job Opportunities Website,” the city of Watonga will be working with Major County Economic Development Corporation and encourage job postings on its regional employment opportunities job site that is updated daily.
Major County Economic Development Corporation is compiling employment opportunities from across Northwest Oklahoma and will continue updating its regional employment opportunities list as new openings are received. This list is pinned to the top of the Major County Economic Development Corporation Facebook Page.
