Watonga Community Theatre will host a concert of OK3 as the 41st annual membership party at 7 p.m. on Tuesday, August 27. OK3 is a dynamic trio whose roots in Oklahoma City's vibrant music scene inspired their name and their sound.
Kenna, Sierra and Courtney together form OK3 and each brings a unique musical upbringing to the group, drawing from influences as diverse as country, pop/rock, and R&B. United by their passion for music, these talented women first crossed paths a decade ago through their vocal coach, who saw their potential as a trio.
“We are excited to bring such a talented group to Watonga. Our membership party is always a great social event with amazing entertainment and provides an easy avenue to get your dues paid for the year,” said Marie Tech, WCT president.
Formed when they were just 12, 14 and 16 years old, OK3 grew up together, navigating their early years in music side by side. After four formative years together, they briefly went their separate ways, each pursuing individual musical paths. However, fate intervened at Sierra's wedding in 2021, reuniting these lifelong friends and reigniting their shared musical spark.
Now reunited, OK3 is back in action, channeling their collective experiences into creating original music that blends their eclectic influences. Their journey includes a remarkable milestone: they premiered on Season 25 of NBC's The Voice, where their harmonies and vibrant energy captivated audiences nationwide, and their powerhouse vocals and undeniable chemistry earned them a coveted four-chair turn from music icons Reba, Dan and Shay, John Legend, and Chance the Rapper. Coached by John Legend, OK3 honed their craft and wowed audiences with their performances on the show.
Inspired by their experiences, OK 3 is back in concert, channeling their collective talents into creating original music that showcases their growth and passion. Their upcoming single 'Only Me,' set to release on August 9, promises to captivate listeners with its infectious melodies and fun lyrics. OK3 is poised to make a triumphant return to the music scene they call home, ready to share their unique blend of influences with the world once again.
