Oklahoma Secretary of Ag Elected to National Post

CHEYENNE, Wyo. — Oklahoma Secretary of Agriculture Blayne Arthur was elected President of the National Association of State Departments of Agriculture Wednesday. NASDA, which is comprised of secretaries, directors, and commissioners of agriculture from across the United States, made the announcement at the conclusion of the organization’s annual meeting in Cheyenne, Wyo.

'The opportunity to serve NASDA as President is incredibly humbling and certainly an honor, and I appreciate the support of my fellow ag Commissioners in this new role,” Arthur said. 'Agriculture looks different all across the United States, but I look forward to working together to cultivate common ground as we help producers feed, fuel, and clothe the world. NASDA members will remain steadfast in our commitment to strengthen and promote agriculture in this country, and I am excited to continue this work with my colleagues.'

Arthur’s term will last one year and conclude when Oklahoma hosts the 2024 NASDA Annual Meeting Sept. 22-25, 2024.
