The local elections for the city council and school board for Geary and Watonga have finally come to a close.
Watonga had four city council seats open and contested this year in Wards 1, 2, 3, and at large. The following are the results of those elections with 100% of the precincts reporting according to www.okelections.us.
● Councilmember Ward No. 1
○ Tina Willis - 56.1%
○ Julie Almaguer - 43.9%
● Councilmember Ward No. 2
○ Lindsey Doyel - 60.51%
○ Dan Humphreys - 39.49%
● Councilmember Ward No. 3
○ Ryan Bruner - 42.55% ○ Allen Cowan - 57.45%
○ Allen Cowan - 57.45%
● Councilmember At Large
○ Dylan Ford - 28.66%
○ Travis Bradt - 71.34%
Watonga Public Schools also held an election for Board Member of Office No. 1.

○ Dwight Mcgee - 82.72%
○ Becky Espy - 17.28%
Over in Geary, a city council seat for Ward No. 2 as well as the city clerk position was open and contested this year. The following are the results of those elections with 100% of the precincts reporting.

○ Anita Carter - 22.14% ○ Lee Posey - 22.90%
○ Lee Posey - 22.90%
○ Cozetta Johnson - 54.96%
● City Clerk-treasurer
○ Amy Wood - 48.12%
○ Paula Reding - 51.88%
Geary Public Schools also held an election for Board Member of Office No. 1.
