Second Hydro Accident Injures Two

According to a report from the Oklahoma Highway Patrol, a two-vehicle accident, the second in as many days, sent two area residents to the hospital.

The report shows that Billy Droke, 84, of Oklahoma City was stopped at a stop sign on CR 1022 at Oklahoma 58 in the Caddo county portion of Hydro. Droke continued from the stop east, and failed to yield to Bryce Butcher, 27, of Weatherford, who was eastbound on 58. The collision pinned Droke’s passenger, 82-yearold Bonnie Battle, also of OKC, until the Hydro Fire Department was able to extricate her. Both Battle and Droke were transported to Weatherford Regional Hospital. Droke was treated and released, while Battle was admitted in good condition. Butcher was not transported.

Everyone involved in the accident was wearing a seatbelt at the time of the collision, the report shows.

Hydro straddles the county line between Blaine and Caddo counties and the fire department is proportionally funded by both counties.
