Hi, everyone! I’m back again with news from the Senior Citizens’ Group. I hope you had a good week.

Things are going great at the center. Lots of folks are coming in for exercise on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays. It is so good to see the room full of hard working exercisers. And they have some fun, too. During one exercise they all sing ‘Row, row, row your boat’ until they have finished. They meet at 9 a.m.

Saturday night we had 26 people come in for games and music. We all had a good time and we had lots of good food to eat. We’ll be meeting again at 6 p.m. on Feb. 25. Come and join us.

How about that Super Bowl? It was a great game all the way to the end. I was kinda rooting for the Eagles as the underdogs, but I am also a Chiefs fan. I enjoyed the whole game. I love watching football.

On Friday Feb. 17 the ladies from the hospital will be in to check blood pressure and blood sugar. They’ll be in around 10:30 and they stay about an hour. Come in and get checked, it’s free and you don’t have to be a senior citizens member. It’s open to everyone.

Monday, Feb. 20, the center will be closed for President’s Day.

I have good news. We are no longer needing a new cook. Janie has decided to stay with us. We’re really glad she changed her mind – women are allowed to do that.

Delivering meals for us last week were D’von Poulson, Rhonda Hoskins, Sharon Barnes, Brenda and Curt Stein, Janice Hood and Vernon Brickman. Thanks to all of you for helping us with this program, you are very much appreciated.

Betty Gauer and Gene Matli each renewed their membership with us last week and we’re sure glad they did.

A donation came in from the Watonga Christian Church. B.J. Webb donated in memory of Roberta House and Steve Coney. Eloise Espy donated in memory of Wanda Sinclair and Glenda Wilkinson. We really do appreciate these memorial gifts.

We sure need a quilt to go in the frame for quilting. If you have a top that needs quilted, give us a call.

This is our menu for the next few days. Call us before 10 a.m. if you need a meal delivered and before noon for one to go. And there are biscuits and gravy by donation at 8 a.m. on Thursday.

Thursday Feb. 16 – Liver and onions Friday – Fried chicken Monday – closed for Presidents’ Day Tuesday – Chicken strips Wednesday – Kiwanis meets at noon, we eat at 11 a.m.

Thursday Feb. 23 – Lasagna Friday – Roast beef, followed by cards and bingo.

I hope you are all doing well. Stay safe and well. ‘Til next week …
