Hi, everyone! I hope you’ve had a great week. Mine was rather quiet.
Last Saturday night we met for games and music. We had about 26 people come in. We missed several that had gone to other events that night but we still had a fun time. Tom and David played some terrific music for us. There were several at the pool table. Some played chicken foot, some played skipbo and some played 13. We all had a good time and good food. We’ll meet again on July 8.
We’ll be closed on Tuesday, July 4, in observance of Independence Day. The fireworks on our street have already started. It’s part of the celebration of our freedom as Americans. I’m glad to hear them.
Last week’s quilters were Louise Cooper, Gene Matli and Estalene Teply. They are about to finish the quilt they’ve been working on for quite a while. I’m sure they have another one lined up to do next, but I don’t know whose it is.
We had some nice donations last week. Kathryn Diamond brought in squash from Lloyd Hoos of Longdale. She also brought in cans and Best Choice labels. Thank you, Kathryn and Lloyd. We really appreciated the squash. Donna Kohl donated a nice food chopper/ grinder. I’m sure it will get a lot of use.
The Cheyenne Quilt Guild donated in memory of Margaret Stangl’s mother and Yvonne Christensen donated in memory of Danny Bond. Thanks very much to Yvonne and the quilt guild.
Last week, meals were delivered by our regulars Pat, Sharon, Brenda and Curt, Janice and Vernon. Thanks to all of you for your help.
Here is our menu for the next few days. Call before 10 a.m. to have a meal delivered or by noon for one to go. We quit serving by 12:15.
