Hi, everybody! I hope you’ve all had a great week. And I hope you’re all ready to enjoy all the events at the Cheese Festival. Sounds like it’s gonna be a full day of activities. I hope the weather cooperates.
The Cheyenne Quilt Guild is selling raffle tickets for a beautiful quilt. Tickets are $1 each or 6 for $5. They may be purchased at the Senior Citizens Center or at Watonga City Hall. The quilt may be seen at city hall.
The senior citizens will be holding their annual turkey and dressing dinner at noon on Friday, October 13. This is one of our main fundraisers and we hope you’ll be sure to come in and eat with us. We will be serving from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m.
Saturday morning the Masons will be serving pancakes, biscuits and gravy and other breakfast items starting at 7 a.m. Everyone is welcome and they will be at the senior center.
Monday, October 16 the Cheyenne Quilt Guild will hold its regular monthly meeting at 7 p.m. at the center. This group is open to all quilters or wanna-be quilters. Come and check it out.
A lady brought in a quilt last week that a relative had won in a raffle many years ago. It was made by Pansy Hollis in 1992 and was quilted at the center. We failed to get her name, but the quilt is on display at the center. Come by and see it. Perhaps you worked on it.
D’von Poulson, Susan Shrader, Sharon Barnes, Brenda and Curt Stein, Janice Hood and Teresa Bryan delivered meals for us last week. A big thank you to all of you for your help.
Joy Moon, Sue Landreth and Maxine Strack all made donations last week. Thank you very much. Donna Oler brought in apples to share, thanks, Donna! Peggy Franks renewed her membership with us, thanks, Peggy.
Judy Curtin, Louise Cooper and Estalene Teply came in last week to work on the quilt. They are doing a good job and making good progress. Come by and join them, they’d love to have you.
