Hi, everyone! I’m home from the hospital and doing great. I feel so much better. I had quite an experience, but I must say I was very pleased with all the staff at the Watonga Mercy ER. I had excellent care and they made arrangements for me to be transferred to OKC as soon as possible. They were all very kind and caring.
I was home in time to get some of the turkey and dressing they served at the Senior Center on Friday. It was sure good, too. It looked like they had a big turnout and that’s good. Too bad they don’t get that many every day.
I got to check out the new quilt they’ve hung. It’s a real beauty, with a Christmas feel in reds and greens. It was made by Margaret Stangle.
Last week meals were delivered by Susan Shrader, Connie George, Sharon Barnes, Curt and Brenda Stein, Janice Hood and Peggy Franks. A big thank you to all of you for helping with this program.
LaWayne and Dorene Flaming renewed their membership. We really appreciate their renewal. They do a lot to help out at the center. Thank you, LaWayne and Dorene.
There were no quilters last week, I think they were busy boning turkeys for Friday’s meal.
We had our biggest group yet come in Saturday night for music and games. We had 44 people and we all had a great time. There was lots of good food and Tom Autrey and David Greene played music. Our next scheduled meeting was for December 23 but we decided most people will be busy preparing for Christmas just two days later so we will not meet. We will meet again on January 13.
Sure enough, Janice did a great job with the Christmas decorations. It’s all very festive with a colorful tree and I think I saw three different Nativity scenes. One had been a gift a few years ago from Joyce Lucas. They are all beautiful. Thank you, Janice.

I guess that’s all my news for this week. I hope you are all doing well and getting ready for Christmas. It’s gonna be a quiet one at our house. Take care and stay safe. ‘Til next week …
