Hi, everyone! I hope you’ve all had a great week. This week looks a lot better for me, only one doctor’s appointment.
This Saturday, the 23rd, we’ll meet at the center for music, games and food. If you don’t have anything planned for that evening come on down and join us. We meet at 6 p.m. and listen to music by Tom Autry and Dave Green, and we all find some kind of game to play. You should bring some kind of potluck to share. About 7 we all break to eat and we leave about 9 p.m. Plan to come in and join us for the evening. You do not have to be a member of the senior citizens to come in.
We had a couple of memorial donations last week. Patt Curtin donated in memory of Louis Ray Hood, Billy Jap and Jean Seitter, Barbara Howry Weber, Chris Bordelon, Gene McCall and Dr. Fred Lucas. Sandra Hightower made a donation in memory of Gene McCall and George Givens. We are very thankful for these donations.
Maxine Strack brought in cans and Best Choice labels. Thank you, Maxine. Andy and Linda Barrett donated the money from the sale of cans. Thanks to them for doing this for us.
Connie Burcham donated to have her quilt quilted. Thank you, Connie. And Linda M. donated yarn. Thank you, Linda.
Last week Sharon Barnes, Brenda and Curt Stein, Janice Hood and Vernon Brickman delivered meals for us. Curt and Brenda delivered two days. We really appreciate these folks for helping us out.
If you’re hungry check out our menu for the next few days. There might be something you really like. If you need a meal delivered please call us before 10 a.m. We eat around 11. If you need to pick up a meal to go call us before noon.
Thursday, March 21 – Chicken fried steak Friday – Fried chicken Monday – Chili and soup Tuesday – Chicken strips Wednesday – Kiwanis meets at noon, we eat around 11 Thursday, March 28 – Breaded pork loin Friday – Roast beef birthday dinner. If you are a member of the center and had a March birthday, you get a free meal.
And there are biscuits and gravy on Thursday mornings by donation. Eat in or get one to go.
