SENIOR CENTER NEWS

Hi, everybody! Well, we managed to get through another week of hot, dry days. Maybe this week will be better.

We have been eating a lot of watermelon lately. It’s so good with it’s cold, you take a bite and it’s full of that cold, cold juice. It’s great!

We only had to make four trips to OKC last week. This week will only be one day. It seems the only thing we do is drive to the city.

I see on the calendar at the senior center that some of the ladies are meeting to play cards on Tuesday, July 30, but I don’t know the time. You can call the center to find out.

Saturday, July 27, we’ll be meeting for games, music and food. We are meeting at 6 p.m. Plan to come and join us. We have a lot of fun. Bring a covered dish to share.

Last week Margie Smith brought in cans and Best Choice labels. Thank you, Margie. Lloyd Hoos brought in some cantaloupes. Thank you, Lloyd. Sandy Maddux also brought in Best Choice labels. Thank you, Sandy.

Janice Hood and Lisa Nelson each donated in memory of Clella Lookabaugh and Betty Chapman. Thank you, Lisa and Janice.

Last week the quilters were Louise Cooper, Estalene Teply and Judy Curtin. The meet each Thursday morning to quilt. They have a new quilt in the frame, a pretty black and white one.

Hailey Boden, Curt and Brenda Stein, Sharon Barnes, Janice Hood and Vernon Brickman delivered our meals on wheels last week. Thank you all very much for your help.
