On Friday, Dec. 13, we had our turkey and dressing fundraiser, and it was an epic success! We want to thank the Masonic Lodge for their co-sponsorship. The two banks in town funded our dinner for the great employees of the City of Watonga. We are so grateful to the banks and the City for their support. Many people showed up to eat with us and we are thankful for each one of you! It really put us all in the Christmas spirit.
Speaking of Christmas spirit, I hop you had an opportunity to see the program at the Liberty Theatre. More than 50 adults and students performed numerous skits and songs. They all are to be congratulated for their hard work and enthusiastic performances.

Do you have all your Christmas decorations done? If not, time is running out. I have heard the busiest shopping day of the year is Black Friday, but I know some people wait until Christmas Eve to shop. That is cutting it a little too close for me.
Bing Crosby’s White Christmas is supposedly the best-selling Christmas song. These younger ones don’t even know who Bing is! The Christmas carol Silent Night was first played on the guitar because mice had eaten the organ bellows. The highest grossing Christmas movie of all time is the 2018 version of The Grinch.
All of us at the Senior Center wish you a very merry Christmas and hope to see you soon!
