The first week of spring has brought strong winds and some very welcome rain. We can always use more rain this time of year, and hopefully more is coming. April Fool’s Day is also election day, and we are hoping for a strong turnout of voters. Our city council is our governing body and if we do not support and vote candidates in office, we have no reason to complain about our city!
This Friday, April 4, is the Watonga Masonic Lodge fund-raiser for the Watonga Senior Citizens Center. We are serving chicken and noodles, salads, vegetables, homemade rolls and homemade desserts from 5- 7 p.m. At 6 p.m. there will be a cake auction, and opportunities to purchase some of the area’s best cakes and pies. To go orders must be picked up by 5 p.m. Please come join us for a delicious meal, cake auction and an opportunity to support our center.
We serve lunch daily from 11 a.m.to 12:30 p.m., except Wednesday when we serve from 11 a.m. to noon. Call any morning by 10 for home delivery.

Our thanks to these faithful volunteers.
Larry Major renewed his membership. Our lone quilter this week was Martha White.
On April 12 and 26, we will host our Saturday Night Fun and Games from 6-9 p.m. Bring a snack and enjoy cards, dominoes, pool and live music.
We exercise Monday, Wednesday and Friday mornings from 9- 9:45 a.m. Do not hesitate to join us because we each exercise at our own rate, according to what our bodies tell us. Come join us for this free class.
On Thursdays from 810 a.m., we serve biscuits and gravy, by donation only. What a way to start the day!
