Call any morning before 10 a.m. for home delivery. Our deliverers last week were: Susan Shrader, Connie George, Brenda Stein, Sharon Barnes and Janice Hood, who delivered two days. Thanks to all of them!
Our quilters this week were Louise Cooper, Estelene Teply and Martha White. They are doing a wonderful job on the quilt by Becky Ake.
Speaking of quilts, when you come to the center to eat or exercise, look at the beautiful quilt hanging on our north wall. It was gifted to Maxine and Frank Strack for their wedding in 1949! The entire quilt was handpieced and hand quilted by Frank’s aunt, Mary Tilquist. It has quartersized hexagon shapes and is a true work of art.
We exercise Monday, Wednesday and Friday at 9 a.m. and all are welcome. Come join us. We should all be doing 60 minutes of physical exercise, as well as 30 minutes of mind exercises daily, according to health experts. Mind exercises are computer games, reading, puzzles, etc.
We find that we need a ceiling fan at the center. If any of you are redecorating or remodeling and have an extra fan, in good condition, please keep us in mind.
Until next week, enjoy the spring weather and come join us at the Watonga Senior Center.
