Hi everyone! I’m glad I’m able to write this column this week. I’m very thankful that I’ve escaped the Covid 19 so far. A person doesn’t know from one day to the next if they’ve been exposed. We can just keep wearing our mask and washing our hands. And Praying!

It sounds like we’re in for some really cold, nasty weather. By the time this goes to print, though it should be warming up again.

John and I went to the chili cook-off Saturday night for the WHS/WMS Wrestling teams. Tasted some really good chili. Came home with two big cakes and a tin of cookies. So much for the diet. One cake went in the freezer and one we started eating. And it was yummy! It's an Amish Pineapple cake. Sure clad John and I won the bid on that one.

Well we have a new cook starting Monday to help Dorothy. It is Janie Whited and we’re sure glad to have her. We’re sorry to see Steven go, but he’s moving on to a full-time job and we understand that. We really appreciated him for stepping in to help Dorothy til we could get someone else.

Donations were received last week from Elaine Greer and Anita Woodruff. They had picked out some of Patsy’s donated items. They also both renewed their memberships. Thanks Elaine and Anita.

We had a few in for biscuits and gravy on Thursday morning. For of them stayed to quilt, they were Gene Matli, Jennie Castleberry, Estalene Teply and Naida Kerr.

Those that delivered meals on wheels for us last week were Vernon Brickman, Janice Hood, Tracy Walker, Mary Brown, and Karen Dugger. We really appreciate all these that are willing to help us.

Here’s our menu for the next few days:

Thursday – Ham and Sweet potatoes

Friday - Roast Beef (Birthday Dinner)

Monday Chili and Vegetable soup

Tuesday - Chicken Strips

Wednesday - Roast Pork

Thursday – Tuna casserole

Friday – Indian Tacos

Call us at 623-4511 i8f you’d like a meal to go or if you need one delivered. Call before 10 if you need it delivered.

I hope you all have a great week. Take care, Stay Safe. Til next week…
