SENIOR CENTER NEWS

Here comes Halloween and November. November is the 11th month of the year and has 30 days, usually marking the beginning of the winter holiday season. Winter technically doesn’t start until late December. November 2 marks the end of Daylight Savings Time this year, so we fall back our clocks one hour and get an extra hour of sleep. November 4 is Will Rogers Day; November 11 is Veterans Day, the anniversary of the armistice that ended World War 1; and November 27 is Thanksgiving Day. November flowers are chrysanthemums and peonies; the birthstones are topaz and citrine. It is also seen as a time to start finalizing any plans or projects that you had for the year.

A plan you should have is to come join us at the Watonga Senior Citizens Center for lunch. We eat daily, except Wednesday, from 11 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Wednesdays we eat from 11 a.m. to noon.
