As the last of the chocolate Easter eggs have been eaten, it is time to gear up for the Watonga Masonic Lodge’s fundraiser. It is our Chicken and Noodle Dinner and Cake Auction! It will be held from 5-7 p.m. on Friday, April 10 at the Watonga Senior Citizens Center.
We will be serving chicken and noodles, mashed potatoes, green beans, salad, homemade rolls and a variety of homemade desserts. At 6 p.m., we will hold our auction of delicious cakes, pies and other desserts. This is an event you will not want to miss! The ticket cost is $15 per person, or a generous donation. All proceeds go to the operating costs of our Senior Citizens Center.
Before then, though, we will still be serving lunch each day, except Wednesday, from 11 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Wednesdays, we serve lunch from 11 a.m. to noon. Our menu is: Thursday, April 9 Baked Chicken Friday Ham and Sweet Potatoes Monday Chicken Strips Tuesday Chili Dogs and Chips Wednesday Chicken Spaghetti (Kiwanis Meets) Thursday, April 16 Liver and Onions Friday Fried Chicken Call us at 580-6234511 any morning before 10 for home delivery. You do not have to sign up for delivery every day; you can choose and we will bring a delicious meal for only $7. Our meals were delivered last week by: Teresa Bryan, Janice Hood, Brenda Stein, Sharon Barnes and Vernon Brickman. Our thanks to them.
D’Von Poulson donated Best Choice labels last week. We collect them and send them to the company. They send us cash for those coupons. Whenever you have some Best Choice labels, just drop them by the center.
We had several memorial donations last week: Liz Schenk for Sharon Gates; Grace Racine for Sharon Gates; Diane Barrett and Judy Felder for Danna Taylor; and Regina Glass for Sharon Gates and Danna Taylor; and Patt Curtin for Gene and Bob Matli. We are so appreciative of these families who have requested memorials for their loved ones to be given to the center.
From 8-10 a.m. on Saturday, April 11, the Masonic Lodge will hold its monthly breakfast at the Watonga Senior Citizens Center. Start your day with a delicious breakfast prepared by some of Watonga’s finest men. Later that evening, the center will host its Fun and Games Night from 69 p.m. Enjoy card games, dominoes, pool and live music with the Saturday Night Gang.
