I hope that you all got to experience some of the local activities last week. The play at the Liberty Theatre, “ Dearly Departed” was wonderful. The cast did an amazing job, as usual, and had the audience laughing until almost in tears! This is Patt Ward Curtin’s last act as play director, and she ended her career with a winner.
The Watonga Public Library kicked off its summer library programs on June 1.
Those library ladies planned and executed a fun time for the children. The library will host events each weekday in June to introduce “Unearth a Story” about dinosaurs, magic and all sorts of crafts. This is a free program and great for the kids.
During the week, you can come have lunch at the Watonga Senior Center any day from 11 a.m. to 12:30 p.m, except Wednesday. On Wednesdays, lunch is from 11 a.m. to noon, when the Kiwanis Club meets. Call the center any morning before 10 at 580623-4511 for home delivery. Louise Cooper was our quilter this week, and she is doing a beautiful job on the antique quilt.
On Saturday, June 13, we will host our Fun and Games Night from 6 -9 p.m. Come join The Saturday Night Gang for cards, dominoes, pool and live music.
