SENIOR CENTER NEWS

Hi everyone! I hope you are all doing well this nice warm week. (I hope the weatherman is still forecasting temps in the 80’s). I also hope you all had a great Easter celebration. I know a lot of folks were getting together with family.

We received a nice check from the folks we send the Best Choice labels to. Estalene is always glad to see it come in.

Yvonne Christensen made a donation in memory of Cal Butler and Delores Stinson. Thank you Yvonne.

We had a nice bunch in for biscuits and gravy on Thursday. It was very good. A couple of ladies stayed and quilted awhile. It was Estalene and Naida. They have a new quilt on the wall hanger. It is really pretty. I believe it was made by Gene Matli. They took the bus to Clinton on Saturday night to the Jamboree. It was to be the last time they will be having the Jamboree. They are closing it down. Sure hate to hear that.

I came in during exercise on Monday and it was good to see so many people there. They have a good time. We had six people come in to play cards on Friday. We played till lunch time, ate our Indian taco, then played again till almost 3 o’clock. We really had a good time. They’ll be playing again next Friday. Come on in and join us.

Our Meals on Wheels deliverers were back again last week. It was Regina Glass, Karen Dugger, Mary Brown, Curt and Brenda Stein, Janice Hood, and Vernon Brickman. We sure appreciate all these folks.

It looks like we have some really good meals coming up. Call us at 623-4511 if you want one either delivered or to pick one up to go. Well be glad to get one ready for you.
