Hi Everyone! Hope you have had a good week. If you had a family get together for Memorial Day, I hope it was enjoyable.

Well, the governor has stated that senior citizen centers should open on June 1st, so I guess we will. We’ll start our exercise classes on Monday, the 1st. I know we are all out of shape, so get ready Estalene! We’re all looking forward to it.

We will open for Kiwanis on Wednesday the 3rd. Beginning on Monday, the 1st, we will allow people to come in to eat. We will still have carry-out for those that want it, but they can come in to pick it up. We will have the tables and chairs set up for social distancing and the cooks will prepare your plate for you. We’ll have rules posted near the door.

We will let people come in to play cards and pool. Some have really missed that.

We had some nice donations this week. One was given anonymously and the other was from Greta Wright. We really appreciate people thinking of us during this slow time.

The Meals on Wheels project has grown in numbers. We are so thankful for those folks who give of their time to deliver these meals. This week it was Regina Glass and Janet Taylor, Curt and Brenda Stein, Tina Grubbs, Janice Hood and Lewis Green. Thanks to all of you.

Estalene said she collected enough Best Choice labels to make a mailing for reimbursement, with some left over for the next time. We are so appreciative of those of you who collect these for us. Every little bit helps.

I’ve been asked to extend the menu listing to he second Thursday as some people don’t get the paper in time to know what we’re having on the following Thursday.

This is the menu for the following week;

Thursday--Liver and Onions

Friday—Meatloaf (We had to change from our regular roast beef due to the cost).

Monday—BBQ Pork Sandwiches

Tuesday—Goulash

Wednesday—Chicken Spaghetti

Thursday—Beef Pot Pie

All these items are subject to change at the option of the cook. We look forward to getting back to normal (more or less). Give us a call at 623-4511 to check on the menu for the day. We’ll be eating at noon now, so come on in. We’ll be glad to have you. Till next week...
