SENIOR CENTER NEWS

Hi everybody! I sure hope you enjoyed the snow. Wasn't it beautiful? It was so pretty to watch coming down, knowing I didn't have to get out in it any time soon. I finally got out Saturday afternoon for a bit. I hope it will be a while before we get any more though.

I'm sorry we had to close the Center but I didn't want anyone to have any kind of accident by getting out in it. We'll be back open on Monday, the 7th with Taco Salad. Everything should be back on schedule now.

I am happy to report that our head cook, Dorothy, had her knee surgery and is home recovering. We sure miss her but her grandson, Denver, is doing a fantastic job filling in for her. He is a good cook too. We're glad to have him helping out til she can return.

Saturday night, the 12th, will be our regular music and games. Come on down and join in the fun.

Saturday morning, the 12th, the Watonga Firefighters will be hosting a pancake breakfast fundraiser for Rowdy Blankenship at the old City Hall.

The Masons will be helping out, too, with this fundraiser. Come on out, eat some good pancakes, see some friends and help this young man out with some of his expenses from the explosion he was injured in. There will not be pancakes at the Senior Citizens.

I don't have a lot of news this week but I hope you have all stayed well and warm during the cold spell. It should be warmer this week.

Here is our menu for the next few days. Call us for a meal at 623-4511.

Thursday: Chicken Strips Friday: Chicken Fried Steak

Monday: Ham and Beans

Tuesday: Chili Dogs, Salad, Chips

Wednesday: Kiwanis meets, we eat at 11 a.m.

I hope you are all doing well now and staying safe and warm. Til next week...
