Hi everyone! I hope your week is going well. The weatherman says there will be some good rain this week. We'll see. I don't much believe them any more.

The nurses didn't make it last week. They got tied up with other things. They said they hope to be here on April 15th. We really appreciate what they do for us.

Last week was board meeting for our group. We sold our bus to Watonga Christian Church. I know it will be used a lot by them.

We have a new sidewalk in the back thanks to a generous donor. It makes a nice walkway from the parking lot to the back door. We're very happy to get it.

We are planning for a Chicken Noodle dinner on April 22nd. We haven't had one for quite a while and it's one of our main fundraisers. The Masons will be helping us with it. We would really like it if some of you could volunteer to help us. We'll need some desserts made -- it doesn't have to be pie. We'll also be having a cake auction so we'll need cakes for htat. We would really appreciate anything you can do to help us out. We just don't have the members we used to have. We have lost so many and can't seem to get new ones to join us. If you would be able to help us with this project give us a call at 623-4511 and we'll put your name down.

Margie Smith brought us several sacks of cans last week. Thanks, Margie! We received a donation from Yvonne Christensen too! Thank you, Yvonne!

John and I and Brenda and Curt Stein all renewed our memberships. Thanks to Brenda and Curt!

We had some come in to quilt last week. It was Judy Curtin, Estalene Teply, Gene Matli, and Naida Kerr. Thank you, ladies, for donating some of your time to work on the quilt.

We could really use a couple of volunteers to work on Tuesdays and occasionally on Friday. It's a matter of taking calls for meals, taking money for meals, and making the deposit. Nothing hard. From about 9 a.m. to about 1 p.m. We could sure use you!

These are the folks that delivered our meals last week. Pat Brewer, Karen Dugger and Mary Brown, Brenda and Curt Stein, Janice Hood, and Vernon Brickman. A big THANKS to all of you.

These are the meals for the next few days.

Thursday: Ham and Beans

Friday: Roast Beef

Monday: Beef Pot Pie

Tuesday: Chicken Casserole

Wednesday: Kiwanis meets, We eat at 11 a.m.

Thursday (March 31): Ham and Sweet Potatoes

Friday (April 1): Indian Tacos

Don't forget our biscuits and sausage gravy on Thursday mornings at 8 a.m.

Give us a call to get any delivered. We'll be happy to get it to you.

Our head cook, Dorothy, has been out for a while recovering from knee surgery. While she's been off her grandson, Denver Speers, has been filling in for her. And he's done a terrific job too! We're really glad to have him filling in for her til she's able to come back. But we've missed her. Our other cook, Janie, has really stepped up to get the meals out, and ready to serve. Good job Janie and Denver!

Saturday, the 26th, will be music and games from 6 p.m. to 9. Come on down and join in the fun. Please bring some type of snack food.

Well, I got a little longwinded today so I'll cut it off and stop here. I hope you all have a great week! Take care, stay well. Til next week...
