SENIOR CENTER NEWS

Hi everyone! I hope you are all doing well. We sure got some nice rain. I hope we'll be getting more soon but I'm thankful for what we got.

I have resigned my position as President of the Senior Citizens Club. It was a big decision for me but I felt the need to do it. I will continue to work occasionally but not regularly. I am going to continue to try to continue to write the News. We'll see how it works out.

We could sure use more members and volunteers. Dues are only $15 per year and the volunteer work is not hard! It's basically taking calls for meals to go, taking money for meals, and making the day's deposit. Call us to join or volunteer. We would appreciate your help.

We had a nice group come in on Saturday night for games and music. We had 29 come in. David Green and Wayne Maddux provided music and songs for us. It was a fun evening. Our next get-together will be on April 9th from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. Plan to come and join us.

Thursday was biscuits and gravy day. Several came in to eat. Some stayed to quilt. It was Naida Kerr, Gene Matli, Estalene Teply, and Judy Curtin. There's a large number of quilters that meet one evening each month to talk about quilting. You might want to check that out if you are a quilter. I'll check out their next meeting date and let you know when it will be.

Betty Gauer renewed her membership last week. We're glad to have you Betty!

These are the folks that delivered our meals on wheels last week. Vernon Brickman, Janice Hood, Pat Brewer, Curt and Brenda Stein, and Mary Brown and Karen Dugger. Thank you all so much.

This is our menu for the next few days. Call us for meals to go. Call before 10 a.m. for meals to be delivered. That is only for people that can't get out to come in to eat! Call before noon for meals to be picked up. Our number is 623-4511.

That's about all my news for this week. I hope you all stay well, and safe. There's another round of Covid going around now. Are we ever going to get rid of it? Take care of yourselves. Til next week...
