Hi Everybody! Once again we missed out on the rain Saturday. We had gone to a family birthday party at Newalla but we got caught in it west of Oklahoma City on our way home. It really poured for a while. There was a bad accident west of El Reno. We, and several others, got off at the Fort Reno exit and took Route 66 for a ways. The traffic was backed up in both directions for miles. We got home and it was dry as a bone.

We missed out on the music and games at the Center Saturday night. They tell me there were 25 present. Wayne Maddux's brother and sister-in-law, Larry and Judy Maddux, and David Greene played music for the crowd.

The usual volunteers delivered our meals on wheels last week. We are so thankful for all our volunteers. We couldn't do all that we do without their help.

We had some donations last week. Someone dropped off a large number of cans in the back. Thank you! Elaine Compton also brought in cans, as did Margie Smith. Loretta Grove and Margie brought in Best Choice bar codes. Thank you all for helping us with your donations.

Mae and Jim Thompson renewed their memberships. Thank you, Mae and Jim.

Our regular quilters were in last week to work on the quilt. It was Estalene Teply, Judy Curtin, Gene Matli and Naida Kerr.

We had our Chicken and Noodles dinner on Friday night. It was unbelievable how well it turned out. There was a large amount of people that came in. I'm not sure of the exact count. We prepared at least 50 meals to go. The Masons were there to take the money and hand out plates. They are so good to help us with our fundraisers. Thank you, Masons, for all your help with this project.

We want to say Thank You to all the volunteers that came in to help us serve meals to all that came in or ordered by phone. You are so appreciated.

We also want to say Thank You to all the ladies that brought in items for the auction. It all looked delicious. Chris Ridenhour did a great job getting good bids for them all. We are so thankful for everyone that helped us with this dinner. It was a success because of all of you.

We want to give a special Thank You to Gene Matli. Without her we wouldn't have had a Chicken Noodle Dinner, as she made all the noodles! Thanks Gene! She and several of our volunteers also made the desserts given out as well as some of the auctioned items. Thank you all for everything.

And a big thank you to Dorothy Jameson and her son, Steven, for cooking the noodles.

Life goes on so here's our menu for the next few days:

Once again I say Thank You to everyone that attended our dinner or helped in any way. We are very grateful.

I hope you all have a great week. Maybe we'll get a little rain soon. I keep praying. Til next week, stay safe and take care.
