Hi everyone! I hope you are all having a good Memorial Day. I went to the cemetery this morning for the American Legion's annual Memorial Day service. It was very nice. The big flags were beautiful, standing straight out in the strong wind. And the playing of Taps is always very touching.

There's a new quilt hanging for viewing at the Center. It is gorgeous! It was made by Velta Quintle. It is basically a purple floral. It is really lovely. Come in to see it. It'll be hanging about a month.

All the regular quilters were in on Thursday last week. Judy Curtin, Naida Kerr, Estalene Teply, and Gene Matli. Come in and join them. They meet every Thursday after biscuits and gravy at 8 a.m.

The exercise group continues to meet on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays from 9 a.m. to 10 a.m. Feel free to come and join them. They would be glad to see you.

We had a nice group of 32 people at our Saturday night get-together. We had a great time playing games, eating, and listening to David Green play music. I always love listening to music of the Eagles and David does a good job singing and playing. We'll be meeting again on Saturday, June 11, so plan to come and join us at 6 p.m.

The folks that delivered meals for last week were Pat Brewer, Janice Hood, Brenda and Curt Stein, Mary Brown, and Vernon Brickman. We are very thankful for all of them that help us with this program.

I was so sorry to hear of Peggy Franks' fall at AppleMarket. I hope she'll be feeling lots better real soon.

Here is our menu for the next few days. Call us before 10 a.m. for a meal to be delivered. Call before noon if you want to pick up a meal to go.

Thursday: Biscuits and Gravy at 8 a.m. Chicken Strips for lunch.

Friday: Indian Tacos

Monday: Taco Salad

Tuesday: Smoked Sausage and Sauerkraut or Chicken Strips

Wednesday: Kiwanis meets at noon; We eat at 11 a.m.

Til next week...
