Hi Everyone! I hope you are all doing well and staying cool! This heat is unbelievable. I hope we get a break soon.

Last Saturday night we met at the center for games and music. We only had 21 attend. Several had plans to attend a family wedding. We still had a good time and lots of good food. Wayne Maddax and David Green played music for us. It was a very nice evening.

The quilting ladies are making real progress on the newest quilt. It’s a very interesting quilt- a twin size, I think. Come in on Thursdays and help the quilters finish it up. The nurses will be here on July 15th from 10:30 to noon to check blood pressures and blood sugars. It only takes a minute or two.

Last week was a short week with Monday being a holiday, But our faithful meal deliverers picked up on Tuesday and continued to deliver to those in need. Sharon Barnes, Brenda and Curt Stein, Janice Hood, and Vernon Brickman that delivered for us. Thanks to all of you.

Remember, we have biscuits and gravy on Thursday morning. It’s a donation meal starting at 8 AM.

These are the meals we’ll be serving in the coming days. Call us before 10AM if you need a meal delivered. If you would like to pick up one (or more) to go, call us before noon. 623-4511 Thursday (July 14th)- BBQ Pork

Friday- Fried Chicken

Monday- Sausage and Sauerkraut

Tuesday- Ham & Beans Wednesday- Kiwanis meets at noon ( We eat at 11AM) Thursday (July 21st)- Liver and Onions
