Senior Center News

Hi everybody! I hope this finds you all doing great. he doctors says I’m doing good so I guess I am. John went for his VA check up and they said he was doing excellent. No problems of any kind. I’m sure glad and he was too. I’m really glad to have the cooler temperatures. But mother nature just refuses to give us any rain. I don’t know why it always splits and goes around Watonga. Were not doing something right. All of our regular meal deliverers worked last week. The people they deliver to really appreciate them bringing the meals to them. And we really appreciate their dedication also. Thanks to all of you. Sandra Hightower brought in some cans and a donation for the center. We really appreciate the donation as we are having a hard time bringing I enough to pay our expenses we just don’t have enough people coming in to eat. Three or four a day is not enough to cover our expenses. With food prices going p so much and our utilities being so high its hard to make ends meet. If things don’t change we may have to look at closing the center. I sure hope not. But we have to do what we have to do. Margie Smith also donated cans. Thank you Margie and Sandra. There was a memorial donation made remembering Mina Green. Saturday night about 5:30 well be meeting again for games and music, come join use. Bring a snack of some kind and join in the fun. I don’t have much news this week but here’s the menu for the next few days. Call us for a meal to be delivered or for a meal to be picked up. Remember our meals are now $7, but its still a bargain. You cant go any place else and get a full meal with salad, dessert, and a drink for that price!
