Hi, everybody! Are you just about worn out trying to get all your Christmas shopping done? We went to OKC on Saturday and my goodness, what a mess it was. Long checkout lines at Walmart and most were doit- yourself check out. It’s unreal. I’m done. I kept it simple. Plus, I’ve got three birthdays this month.
They tell me 11 people came in to get their blood pressure and blood sugar checked last Friday. We went in to eat fried chicken but the nurses were already gone. I should have gone earlier.
Our meals on wheels were delivered by our regular delivery drivers – Pat Brewer, Sharon Barnes, Brenda and Curt Stein, Janice Hood and Vernon Brickman. We are so thankful that they give of their time to deliver these meals. Thank you to all of them.
We had some donations last week. Mary Mangold donated beans and Smokey Rogers brought in Best Choice labels. Delma Landreth and Gary Wills made monetary donations. We thank all of you for your gifts. They are all deeply appreciated.
This is our menu for the next few days.

It’s supposed to be pretty cold later this week, staying inside kind of cold. So you might want to get that big pot of soup made and a pan of cornbread. Then just stay inside until it warms up some.
Anyway I wish you all a very merry Christmas. Stay safe, stay warm. ‘Til next week…
