State Passes 263K Coronavirus Cases

As of December 21, there were 263,434 confirmed cases of the Covid-19 virus in the state, up by 2,596 in the last 24 hours according to the Oklahoma State Department of Health. There were 6 deaths reported in the last day. This brings the death toll to 2,218.

In Blaine County, according to emergency management officials, there are 79 active cases.

There are 18 cases in Canton; 7 cases in Geary; 5 cases in Longdale; 10 cases in Okeene, two in Hitchcock and 38 in Watonga. The cases are noted by zip code, so those ill may not live inside the city limits, just in the vicinity.

There are 17,884,690 cases cumulative reported nationally, up 189,099 since the last numbers were released by Johns Hopkins University. There have been 317,668 deaths in the United States, up 1,509 since last report.
