State Secures $200 Million in Additional School Funding

Superintendent of Education Ryan Walters has announced that the IDEA funds for the upcoming school year have been secured.

IDEA funds support early intervention and special education services for infants, toddlers, children and youth with disabilities and their families.

Oklahoma received $192,315,072 in IDEA funding for FY23.

“Oklahoma schools will receive nearly $200 million of additional funding. It is critical that we put our kids on the right track for learning for our school system. This funding is essential to ensuring that those students receive the best education possible, and we will continue to find ways to protect and support these students at SDE” Walters said.
