Support Pouring In To Geary Schools

( ABOVE) Nortek in Okarche held a benefit luncheon April 3 for Geary High School for the music department, which lost its instruments and equipment during the fire last month.

The business also provided lunch for the teachers and staff at the school that day.

During the school board meeting April 7, employees of Nortek delivered a check for $1,100 to the superintendent. Nortek is a custom manufacturer of heating, ventilation and air conditioning systems.

(AT RIGHT) Eli'as Beartrack used his Bison Brags to be the Principal’s Assistant. He caught several students making good choices and enjoyed a sweet treat.

(BELOW RIGHT) Eleven Geary High students competed in the University of Science and Arts of Oklahoma scholastic meet April 3 in Chickasha. Top students from Oklahoma high schools are invited to compete in the annual academic meet. Placers from Geary are: Sasha Buchanan, second in British Literature and third in Government; Gabby Brushwood, second in Algebra I; Abby Everly, second in Geometry; Connor Bernhardt, first in Economics; Luke Posey, first in World History; Pauline Shawnee, first in Pre-Calculus; Donnie Spottedcorn, third in Music Fundamentals. Also competing were Sophia Everly, Mirylie Spottedcorn, Frank Rodriquez, and Tavin Castleberry.
