At approximately 5:30 a.m. Nov. 18, there was a brief tornado touchdown in Watonga.
Storm sirens were sounded, and an emergency text message was sent out. By daylight, city staff was out surveying the damage and restoring power. There were no reported injuries, however, there have been several reports of property damage.
Damage included one porch torn from a home, fences down, roof damage, tree and limbs broken or uprooted. Some sign damage south of town was also noted.
