EDMOND Prospective students interested in attending the University of Central Oklahoma for the 202627 academic year are encouraged to apply early to maximize eligibility for automatic, leadership and foundation scholarships, ahead of upcoming scholarship deadlines in early February.
Incoming, full-time freshmen students who apply to UCO and submit all required admission documents by the Feb. 1 priority deadline are guaranteed an academic scholarship for the fall and spring semesters, if they meet eligibility criteria. Academic scholarships are awarded based on unweighted GPA and ACT scores.
In addition to academic scholarships, incoming freshmen may apply for leadership scholarships after submitting their general UCO admissions application.
There is a single application for the President’s Leadership Council and the Leaders of Tomorrow scholarships. To be considered, applicants must have a cumulative high school GPA of 3.0 or higher, an ACT score of 20 or above and active involvement in at least two organizations on their high school campus or in their local community.
Eligible students will receive an emailed link to the leadership scholarship application after their UCO application is submitted.
The deadline to submit the leadership scholarship application is also Feb. 1. Incoming freshmen must complete the application through this process to be eligible for a leadership scholarship.
