Watonga High School FCCLA Attends State Convention

Members of the Watonga High School FCCLA chapter recently attended the Oklahoma FCCLA State Convention, held April 2, 2026, in Tulsa at the Arvest Convention Center. The event brought together more than 4,600 student members, advisers, and guests from across the state for a day of leadership, recognition, and celebration.

Throughout the convention, chapters were recognized for their outstanding achievements, including honors such as FCS Participation Awards, Chapters of Excellence, and top placements in STAR Events—a competitive program that showcases students’ skills in areas like leadership, career preparation, and community service.

The Oklahoma FCCLA State Convention serves as the premier event of the year for members of Family, Career and Community Leaders of America, providing opportunities for students to develop leadership skills, explore career pathways, and be recognized for their hard work.

“Oklahoma FCCLA State Convention is the ultimate celebration of our members each year,” said Brittani Phillips, Oklahoma FCCLA State Adviser. “We are proud to recognize their accomplishments, celebrate their growth, and close out the year stronger than ever—with a record-breaking 28,000 members across the state.”

FCCLA is a national student organization that promotes personal growth and leadership development through Family and Consumer Sciences education. Oklahoma FCCLA continues to lead the nation in membership and student engagement.
