The Watonga Lions Club named two Watonga High School seniors its November and December students of the month.

Jaryn Lehman

Jaryn Lehman claimed the November award. She plans to go to Oklahoma State University and study in biology. She wants to become a physical therapist. Her favorite teacher is Mrs. Bernhardt, and her favorite class is calculus. Her best experience in high school was winning state in track because not everyone gets a chance to say they are a state champion. She thinks the community can help improve Watonga schools by installing a new parking lot because there are so many holes in the current lot.

Tucker Estep

Tucker Estep took home the December student award. He plans to get a degree in computer science at Southwestern Oklahoma State University. His favorite teacher is Mrs. Bernhardt and pre-calculus. He always liked math and Mrs. Bernhardt is funny and good at helping students understand new things, he said. His favorite experience in high school was getting voted Best All-Around. He thinks the community can help improve Watonga schools with more community involvement, like the cornhole or 3-on-3 basketball tournaments.
